AUBIExpress
is a document delivery service for the Auburn University Libraries.
AUBIExpress provides electronic/pdf copies of articles and book chapters
from materials located at any of the three Auburn University Library branches.
The branch libraries are as follows:
Ralph Brown Draughon Library (RBD Library)
Cary Veterinary
Medical Library (Vet Med Library)
Library of Architecture,
Design, and Construction (LADC)
If you need copies from a library outside of Auburn University, you must use
the Interlibrary Loan form.
Items not available for delivery are immediately referred to Interlibrary
Loan.
Eligible
Users
This service is available to active Auburn University at Montgomery
(AUM) faculty, Auburn University (AU) faculty, staff, graduate students, persons
with disabilities and Auburn University distance education students.
Undergraduate students and Special Borrowers are not eligible to use AUBIExpress.
Delivery
Methods/Fees
Electronic, email attachments (PDF) and transmissions,
at no charge.
Hours
of Service
Monday - Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Request Method
Complete an AUBIExpress form for each article or chapter.
There are two methods of accessing the request form:
- Once in AUBIEcat, you can click on AUBIExpress at the bottom left of the page.
- From the Libraries' home page, click on "Delivery Services" and select "AUBIExpress".
Delivery Times
Requests are usually processed within 2-4 working days. There is a maximum request limit of 5 items per person per day. Requests lacking call number information or complete citation information are unlikely to be filled within 4 working days.
Helpful Tips
When completing the form, provide as much information as possible.
Incomplete information will delay the process.
University e-mail addresses (username@auburn.edu)
are required for this service.
Oversized items are not available through AUBIExpress.
Microfilm items are not available through our service. An exception may be
made only for Distance Education Students.
Only request 5 items or less per person per day.
Make sure you are eligible to use this service before you take the time to
request items.
On demand and walk-up services are not available.
