Monographic Acquisitions
The Monographic Acquisitions Unit
Responsible for order processing, receiving, and physical preparation & repair of books and other non-serials materials collected at Auburn University Libraries. It includes the Monographic Order Unit, the Monographic Receiving Unit, and the Physical Processing and Repair Unit.
The Monographic Order Unit processes all firm orders for books, media materials, maps, and other non-serials library material.

The Monographic Receiving Unit processes Firm Order and Approval materials. Firm Order materials are those ordered by the Order Unit on behalf of faculty, staff and students. Approval materials are current imprints which vendors send automatically in accordance with detailed instructions set by the library.

The Physical Processing and Repair Unit is responsible for physical preparation and repair of books, media items, and other materials collected at Auburn University Libraries.

The Bindery Section
In cooperation with the commercial bindery, prepares library materials such as unbound journal issues and worn books for professional binding. The Bindery section also handles all incoming mail and package deliveries.
