Librarian

Boyd Childress is the Head of the Library of Architecture, Design, and Construction. He manages the library facility, monitors library policy and practices, purchases library materials and provides reference and instruction services. He also coordinates collection development with faculty and patrons to ensure a well balanced collection of resources to support the College of Architecture, Design and Construction. His academic background is in history.

Support Staff

The following individuals are full time staff who work in the Library of Architecture, Design, and Construction, and play an integral role in the functioning of the unit.

Jacqueline Carter is the reserve materials and electronic reserves manager, serials monitor and inventory control liaison. She maintains the current periodicals collection, which includes inventory, shelving, reshelving, and bindery preparation. Ms. Carter coordinates lost books problems. Ms. Carter also provides reference and other library services.

Kelly W.D. Knowles is the Visual Resource Manager. She maintains the slide collection and acquires new slides. She is also responsible for maintaining the LADC web pages and digitizing the the slide collection for web access.

Cora Cobb is stacks maintenance supervisor and student employees supervisor. She is LADC's resident authority on GIS and is responsible for AUBIExpress, as well as LADC's ILL coordinator. Ms Cobb provides reference and other library services.
