All negatives were made on Eastman's Panatomic X film developed in Eastman's DK-20 at 65 degrees F.  Nineteen minutes for the first roll of 36 exposures 35-mm film plus and extra three minutes for each additional role.  Slight agitation every two minutes.  One quart of developer is good for five rolls of film or two weeks.

Prints were made on Eastman's Vitava Projection papers G2 and G3 with the exception of four dense negatives which were Printed on Soft Brovira Velvet paper.  Development in Defender D-55 containing eight grams of potassium bromide to the quart of concentrated developer.  Dilution one part of developer to two parts of distilled water.  Average time for development two minutes at 70 degrees F.

	3.  Close-up focusing devise on camera held in hand about eighteen inches from plants.  50-mm lens.
	5.  90-mm lens at four feet for better perspective at close-up.
	6.  35-mm wide angle lens for greater depth of focus, light yellow filter.  Cotton fields are among the most difficult of photographic subjects.
	7.  90-mm lens about three and a half feet from the plant, light yellow filter.  It is essential in pictures such as this that the lens be as wide open as possible so that the material wanted will be in focus and the background out of focus.

	10.  Sliding copy device, 30-mm extension tube, 50-mm lens, two 75 watt bulbs in reflectors.  A posed picture with the insect stupefied by ether.  In taking pictures of insects it is much better that the insect be in an inactive stupor rather than insensible.  In this condition the insect appears alert instead of dead.  It is necessary that week lights be used in taking such pictures as the heat from the photo floodlights quickly revives the insect.

	12.  Sliding copy device, two 60-mm extension tubes, 50-mm lens, two # 1 photo floodlights.
	13.  Picture made without a microscope, although the egg is only lightly larger than the point of an ordinary pin.  Sliding copy device with 5X magnifier for critical focus, two 60-mm, two 30-mm, one 20-mm extension tubes, 50-mm lens, two # 1 photo floodlights, one above and the other below the specimen which was suspended on a glass slide above a dark cloth.  Most of the magnification came through the use of the enlarger.
	14.  50-mm lens with light yellow filter giving a decided third dimension to this picture.
