Historical or Biographical Sketch:
The Committee on the Status of Women and Minorities at Auburn University was established in the Fall of 1994, charged to identify important issues to advancing the status of women and minorities in academic, staff, and classroom settings at Auburn. This committee was developed through a broad-based grassroots effort of the Auburn Women's Caucus, the Auburn Black Caucus, the Women's Studies Program, the Staff Advisory Council, Office of Special Programs, both Graduate Student Organizations, the Office of Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity, and the Office of Minority Advancement.

Scope and Content:
Contains correspondence, minutes, reports, newspaper clippings, and flyers from the Committee on the Status of Women and Minorities at Auburn University from 1994 to 1997.
