Historical or Biographical Sketch:
Mary Barwick is an accomplished artist and writer who resides in Montgomery, Alabama. She was born in South Carolina but relocated to Alabama in 1979. Prior to writing and publishing books, she worked as a registered nurse at various hospitals in Alabama and South Carloina. In 1989, she published "The Alabama Angels," a self-illustrated children's book. Other books followed with the same theme.

Scope and Content:
Contains rough drafts of the manuscript, memorandums and correspondence relating to the publication of The Alabama Angels written by Mary Barwick. Includes journal articals pertaining and chronicling Barwick and her book.
