Historical or Biographical Sketch:
The Office of the Treasurer at the Alabama Agriculture and Mechanical College (presently Auburn University) was initially created as part of the East Alabama Male College in 1858 and was incorporated into Alabama A & M College when it became a land grant school in 1872. E. T. Glenn was the first member to hold the office of treasurer at the East Alabama Male College and Alabama A & M College. He and other family members held that position for a period that extended several decades.
Scope and Content:
Contains documents that relate to financial dealings of the Officer of the Treasurer of Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical College (presently Auburn University), E. T. Glenn, at Auburn, Alabama. Two documents list notes payable to the predecessor of college, the East Alabama Male College. The balance of the documents include forms, receipts, bills, notes payable, and correspondence.
