The Office of Special Programs was established to assist departments at Auburn University in developing and implementing programs for improving the academic success of undergraduate students. The Office of Special Programs was absorbed by the Office of Minority Advancement in 1996.

Scope and Content:
Contains the general files of the Office of Special Programs at Auburn University from 1977 to 1994. Includes subject files concerning minority groups on campus, such as Black History Month activities, Handicapped Committee activities, office newsletters, correspondence, budgets, and other related materials associated with the Office of Special Programs.
