Brother and Sister
I rec
your lines yesterday and was glad to hear that you ond family was well and all
the connections was well this leaves me well the boys are all doing verry well
what few they are but we have a great eal more now in the Company more [?] than
we have had in some time we have 30 men here in the valley we left Richmond
last Tuesday [?] to come hear they are a great many troops hear we are camp in
2 miles from Gordonville & 76 mi from Richmond times are dull crops looks
fines up hear the land is verry good one of the 47th Ala is here now he says
that ____ is sick but not bad off Cosin William and Cosin George Slaughter are
both well Bro G.W. was well the last I heard from him I am sorry to hear that
George Conine is dead I have no news worth writeing to you only there is hard
times a plenty the main news here only war war battles Battles you must give my
love to Rolly, Sall., and all the connetion
