Historical or Biographical Sketch:
Gordon C. Grantham was believed to have been born in 1883. He resided in Geneva, Alabama from the 1920's to the late 1930's. Gratham was elected Circuit Court Clerk in 1922 and served until 1938. At the time of his death he resided in Andalusa, Alabama.

Scope and Content:
Contains personal and business correspondence of Gordon C. Grantham of Geneva County, Alabama. Collection also consists of personal letters, financial records of an insurance agency he owned, records of the Geneva County (Ala.) circuit court, copies of Alabama laws regarding the duties of circuit court clerks, campaign material for Grantham and John Bankhead's 1926 campaign, and announcements of meetings for the Knights of Pythias and Ku Klux Klan.
