Historical or Biographical Sketch:
Eliza (Liddie) Hardaway Lane was born on December 25, 1871 in Richmond, Virginia to James Henry and Lottie Meade Lane. She died on the evening of November 1, 1913 of heart complications at her sister's (Lottie Everard Lane Sloan) residence in Birmingham, Alabama and is interred at Pine Hill Cemetery in Auburn, Alabama.

Scope and Content:
Contains one scrapbook of newspaper clippings of poetry and literary works (ca. 1850-1890) and one "Daughters of the American Revolution Certificate". The scrapbook was originally a teacher's grade book from 1870 to 1871, possibly from Auburn University when it was an agricultural school.
