Scope / Content: Three letters (1864) from David Manuel Denney
(1828-1864) to his wife, Sinai Pearson Denney (d. 1865), and four letters
(1864) from Sinai to Denney, relating family matters.
Biographical Sketch: Denney, a farmer from Tallapoosa, Alabama,
was a sergeant in Company B, 37th Alabama Infantry Regiment. He died of
an illness on Oct. 16, 1864, at Spanish Fort, Alabama.
