Collection Size:  4 reels of microfilm + phonograph records + photographs.

Biographical Sketch: Patrick served as U.S. Representative from Alabama’s Ninth Congressional District, 1937-43 and 1945-47. Before that, he had Fairfield (Ala.) city attorney general, federal district attorney. He was also a member of the War Production Board (1943-45). Patrick was a noted author, poet, and radio personality, for WAPI and WBRC after (1925). He died in 1957.

Scope / Content: Collection contains negative microfilm of his original manuscripts, congressional scrapbooks, text of his political speeches, newspaper clippings, and correspondence; phonographic recordings of Patrick’s writings and his congressional speeches; photographs.
