Biographical / Historical Sketch: Dr. Jerry Brown was the head of the journalism department at Auburn University from 1995 to 1999. He wrote a biography on the famous southern humorist and author Roy Blount Jr. and co-authored The Federal Road Through Georgia, the Creek Nation, and Alabama 1806-1836. He also worked on the Read Alabama project an Humanities in Alabama Literature Conference sponsored by the Center for the Arts and Humanities.

Scope/Content: Contains the research of Jerry Brown concerning his book on Roy Blount Jr. and his book The Federal Road Through Georgia, the Creek Nation, and Alabama 1806- 1836. Also included are papers concerning the Auburn University Center for the Arts and Humanities, and its papers for the Read Alabama project.
