Infantry Regiment; wills (1788-1845) of Edward Williams, Daniel Brown,
and Daniel Brown, Jr., father, grandfather and great-grandfather of Hannah
Williams Starr; and incomplete memoirs (1893) of Elijah Fletcher Starr.
Biographical Sketch: Elijah Fletcher Starr grew up in White County,
Georgia and later practiced medicine in Rome, Georgia. He married Hannah
Williams of Nacoochee, Georgia, in 1846. They later moved back to White
County. During the Civil War he served as surgeon of the 24th Georgia Infantry
Regiment in North Carolina and Virginia.
