Biographical Sketch: Statewide organization of beef cattle producers whose purpose is to promote and develop the industry through public relations, education, research, marketing, and legislation. Organized 1944; by 1983, claimed a membership of 15,000 in all Alabama counties.
Scope / Content: Consists of minutes of Executive Committee and
Board of Directors meetings, annual reports, press releases, financial
audits, legislative bulletins, and promotional material. Includes material
on the women's auxiliary, the Alabama Cow Belles. Also, tapes and transcripts
of oral history interviews.
