| Three coeds in long white dresses appear to be giving undivided
attention to Daniel DeKalb Gibson, back to camera, and ignoring the smiles
of fellow seniors to their left during 1915 commencement exercises in Samford
Park. The coeds were, left to right, Hassie Terrell, Fanny Duncan,
and Victoria Steele. Gibson, from Lineville, had been president of
the freshman class and at this time was president of the senior class and
cadet major of the First Battalion. His daughter, Danny Sue, became
