| Band-led celebrants at Toomer's Corner savored Auburn's 6-0 victory over Michigan State in the 1938 Orange Bowl football game. Auburn held the Spartans to two first downs and sixty-five yards total offense. Guard Ralph "Happy" Sivell, tackle Bo Russell, and linebacker Boots Antley led the defense. Ralph O'Gwynne scored the touchdown. Note the space between the Main Gate and Broun Hall, where Biggin Hall later was built. -- Photo: AU Photographic Services |
