Photo Date: ca. 1930s
Full Caption:
Auburn's polo team in the 1930s defeated such national powers as Ohio State and Missouri, thanks to the coaching of Army Captains T.S. Gunby and W.J. Klepinger and the riding and mallet swinging of team members.  The mounts were field artillery horses, and the home team provided the mounts.  Guess which team usually had the advantage? -- Photo: Emily Hixon Gunter
