email@example.com – use this email address to request that books be rush cataloged. The list goes to anyone in Cataloging, Acquisitions, Physical Processing, or Circulation who might be involved in dealing with books as they come in. When a rush email is received, everyone on the list tries to find the book and get it cataloged and on the way as quickly as possible.
firstname.lastname@example.org – use this email address if you have found a problem which may be cataloging related but you’re not sure who to send the problem to. This is frequently used to report problems with electronic resources and problems with holdings records. The message goes to about half a dozen people in Cataloging, and someone will address the problem and try to find out how to solve it.
