LIST of MARC TAGS
This is a list of the most common MARC fields, including applicable codes for the fixed fields and indicator values for the variable fields. Codes and indicators not listed are undefined, blank, or not used at Auburn. This list has been designed to work with two other guides:
The Guide to MARC Fields gives brief explanations of the content and usage of the basic MARC fields. It has a yellow background and is represented by the 
symbol.
The Guide to MARC Subfields and Punctuation explains the subfields for each MARC field, with instructions on how to enter data and punctuation. It has a blue background and is represented by the
symbol.
