Meet Dean Bonnie MacEwan
Bonnie MacEwan is currently Dean of Libraries at Auburn University. In the eighteen months she has been with Auburn, the Libraries has initiated a strategic planning process, created partnerships such as the one with the Student Government Association to extend hours during final exams, and made significant progress toward a $5,000,000 campaign goal. Previously, she served as Assistant Dean for Collections at Penn State University for a decade prior to her promotion to a scholarly communications position designed to explore new technology-driven publishing ventures in collaboration with the Penn State University Press. Ms. MacEwan has held a number of offices in the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services Division of the American Library Association, held administrative fellowships in the Office of the Provost at Penn State and the Committee on Institutional Cooperation and she is a member of several national editorial, library, and publishing boards. Her numerous publications include "Virtually Yours; Models for Managing Electronic Resources and Services" and "Community, Collaboration and Collections."
