Making A Gift

Acquiring, preserving and making accessible library materials in all subject areas remains our topmost priority and critical need.  By making a gift or establishing an endowment, you may support a particular field of inquiry while making a philanthropic statement that will be honored in perpetuity.  Books of Honor allows you to add to the general collection fund by paying tribute to a friend or loved one.  In addition, there are a number of naming opportunities in all of our libraries.

Key segments of our collection were established through gifts of personal collections.  Gifts of materials (including books, manuscripts and journals) are very important to enhancing our holdings, and we are especially grateful to those who have chosen to donate their personal collections to the Auburn University Libraries, thereby making them available to the scholarly community for teaching and research.

Planned gifts are designed for those who wish to support the Auburn University Libraries in a significant way but do not have the flexibility to make an immediate outright gift.  There are numerous ways to help ensure the long-term success of the Library through a planned gift, ranging from simple bequests to sophisticated estate planning strategies that may be financially advantageous for the donor as well.
