Library Materials for Distance Education Students

Many of the materials that you will need are available electronically through our catalog or through a database. You can download these yourself.

All of the other materials you will need will come through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

To use ILL, login to ILLiad (our ILL system) using your username and password.

You will register the first time you login. Under 'Status' on the User Information form, BE SURE you select Distance Ed Grad.

To obtain a thesis or dissertation, see Finding Dissertations and Theses.

General Suggestions

Search the catalog to see if we have the needed journal online. You may not need to go through ILL.

Fill out the ILL request forms as completely as possible.

Allow plenty of time for your requests. Most materials come in a few days, but not all.

Track the progress of your requests by clicking on 'View/Modify Outstanding Requests' in ILLiad.

If you don't receive your materials within 1-2 weeks, contact ILL. There may be a problem.

Unfortunately, there are some things that ILL cannot borrow or buy. In this case, please contact your Library Subject Specialist.
