HomePage Task Force Update
What's the immediate future look like for the HPOTF?
We've finished the Lunch and Learn sessions and completed the survey of students in the lobby of Haley Center. Members of faculty, graduate and undergraduate student groups were asked to discuss three mockups and the current library homepage. Several trays of sandwiches, cookies, pickles, olives, and candy bars have been consumed. While a hot tub and marijuana proved to be the necessary fuel for creativity at Apple, here at Auburn we thrive on roast beef, dill pickle spears and oatmeal raisin cookies.
We will be sending two versions of our three column mockup to the Computer/Human Interaction Lab in the college of Engineering. The students there will do usability studies of the mockups this summer and we will hopefully implement one or a combination of the two versions as our new homepage this Fall semester.
