Research Forum held during the annual convention in April 2003.

Dates:
SEPTEMBER
30, 2002: Abstracts of papers are due (about 500 words). The
author's name should not appear on the abstract. Send with a one-page vita
of the researcher and attached form (see below).
DECEMBER
20, 2002: Complete papers are due for researchers who are selected to
submit papers following the review of abstracts. Format instructions will
be sent with notification of acceptance.

FOR AUTHORS
The CUS Research Forum presents only original, unpublished papers of
significance to research in college, university, or special libraries.
BY
SEPTEMBER 30, 2002:
1.
Submit a brief abstract of the paper (about 500 words). The author's name
should not appear on the abstract. Sen with a one-page vita and attached
form (see below).
2.
The Research Committee will review the abstract and determine if it meets the
criteria for the CUS Research Forum. Authors whose abstracts are accepted
will be invited to submit a manuscript.
BY
DECEMBER 20, 2002:
1.
Give the paper a brief title, adding a brief subtitle if the title is not
descriptive of the content. On a SEPARATE page, give the title, brief
abstract (less than 500 words), the name(s) of the author(s), and the title and
affiliation of each.
2.
On the title page of the manuscript, provide the title, followed by the brief
abstract. Do not identify the author(s) here or elsewhere in the
manuscript.
3.
Consult a style manual, such as the CHICAGO MANUAL OF STYLE, the MLA STYLE
MANUAL, or MLA HANDBOOK for punctuation, capitalization, and bibliographic
citations.
4.
Type the manuscript, double-spaced, on 8 1/2 by 11-inch paper. All quoted
text shouldd be double-spaced.
5.
Submit all bibliographic citations on separate pages at the end of the paper.
6.
Submit all tables, figures, illustrations, or photographs on separate pages at
the end of the paper. Text on these sheets should be double-spaced with
Arabic number and citation from the text.
7.
Submit FIVE copies of the original, unpublished paper to:
