    Covering the the years 1990 (354) through 1996 (361), each year is comprised of five CD-ROMS containing raw raster data in byte format of the conterminous United States. Full images can be viewed by either using a standard Geographic Information System or using the programs on the CD-ROM to extract and view portions of the full image. NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) provides a way to utilize satellite data to observe vegetation greenness.

CARE - COMPENDIUM OF ANIMAL RESOURCES

CARE is a CD developed by the USDA, National Agricultural Library, Animal Welfare Information Center and US Dept. of Health and Human Services, NIH Office of protection from research risks. It is designed to provide quick and easy access to 163 documents relating to animal care and use. Prepared primarily for the biomedical research community, veterinarians, animal care regulators, and Institutional Animal Care Committee members, CARE contains federal legislation and regulations, policies and guidelines of professional scientific societies, bibliographies and full-text articles and monographs.

CONTINUING SURVEY OF FOOD INTAKES BY INDIVIDUALS AND DIET AND HEALTH KNOWLEDGE SURVEY

This CD-ROM contains information from two surveys conducted by the USDA. the Continuing Survey of Food Intakes by Individuals (CSFII) contains 1-day dietary intake data for 5,326 individuals and 2-day dietary intake data for 5,072 individuals. The Diet and Health Knowledge Survey (DHKS) includes information on diet, health, and food safety issues from 1,966 individuals 20 years and over who participated in the CSFII. The data are accessible through the Statistical Export and Tabulation System (SETS) retrieval software on the disc.
