Allen Cary Veterinary Medical Library primarily serves the teaching/learning,
research and extension/outreach needs of the College of Veterinary Medicine,
as well as the USDA Diagnostic and Fish Parasites Research Laboratories.
Any student, staff, or faculty member of Auburn University is welcomed at the
branch library and allowed to check out books through the use of an AU ID
card. The library is also open for use by the general public.
It also provides general library services to this side of the campus,

The Cary Veterinary Medicine Library provides delivery service between
all Auburn University Libraries. If materials (e.g. books, journals,
etc.) are housed at a remote campus
library, a request card can be completed to have the materials retrieved
and made available in the local campus library. For example, materials
housed in
one of the branch libraries can be retrieved for pick-up at the
Circulation/Reserve desk of the main library; while materials in the main
library can be retrieved for pick-up in a branch library. There is no
charge for this service.
