Want To Submit Your Project?

Want us to feature your work on the MDRL site? Each semester thousands of Auburn University students use the MDRL to get their work done, but yours can take the front stage. Imagine: Your movie - whether it's a documentary for class or your own feature film - can be seen here. Inspire others or let your classmates know who has the goods. Tell us if you'd like to have your motion-picture masterpiece featured here.

College is way more than writing papers, and the MDRL is way more than just another computer lab. We see you here on a daily basis – hard at work on layouts, magazines, or proposals. Are you particularly proud of one of these? Why not show it off? Send us your best fabric pattern, magazine, senior project material, landscape design, drawing or rendering! You can inspire others to greatness or bask in the glow of your own.

The MDRL is the only computer lab on campus where you can find the latest Adobe Creative Suite. We know that's why you love it. Do you dream in Dreamweaver? Have a portfolio web site, PR blog, or campus organization site that you'd like to show off? Here's your chance! Tell us about your best html, flash, or podcast you've created using the MDRL, and we'll host it on the Featured Projects page.

Bringing Urban Legends to Life (Student Video Projects)

Amanda Lynch Morris: Bringing Urban Legends to Life (Student Video Projects)
English 1100, Fall 2009

For their 4th project in English 1100, my students wrote or re-worked an urban legend (either alone or in groups - their choice) and then tried to bring it to life in video form using emotional and logical appeal. The challenge was to not only appear credible, but also be funny...some chose the serious route for the primary story and then included some hilarious bloopers. Others chose to go the funny route all the way through. I'm proud of all my students who turned in a project, but these are the best of the bunch and I invite you to watch and enjoy their creative work.
