Alabama Newspaper Hall of Honor

The Alabama Press Association held their induction ceremony into the Alabama Newspaper Hall of Honor on October 21, 2000. The ceremony was in conjunction with Auburn University's annual Media Day. The ceremony held in the library's room honored Porter Harvey and William Stewart. A display on this year's inductees done by the Special Collections & Archives staff can be seen in the newspaper room.

Volunteers from the library served refreshments, offered tours, and provided information about the library's services to the attendees.
