On Saturday Oct. 9, the library set up three tables of information and promotional items in the alumni tent before the football game. Our efforts were very successful. We gave away over one thousand items - from mini footballs to magnets, all imprinted with the library's logo.

We took a laptop which performed beautifully. We logged into AubieCat via a cell phone and gave demos. When not giving demos, we had a power point presentation describing library services with the "War Eagle" music running in the background.

This all came together because of the hard work done by many people. Volunteers at the tent were:  Jeanne W, Robert, Barbara B, Tim, Jim G, Stella, JoAnn and Karla.

Others who made contributions from ordering the supplies to making sure the equipment worked were:  Dale, Jeanne A, Harmon, Diane, Denise, Beth, Scott, Ann, InfoQuest students - Jamie and Katie, and the Access Services students who hauled the nine boxes full of give-aways to the alumni center.

Our next "event" will be on Nov.6 for the Newspaper Hall of Fame dedication taking place in the library. The library will be providing refreshments, giving away promotional items and offering tours.
