Guide to Searching
Engineering Village 2
(1970-)

Databases in Engineering Village 2 include: Compendex, Scirus, online patents, standards, and some of the titles in ENGNetBASE. All these databases share the same interface, but do not have all fields searchable in common and each database must be searched separately. Compendex is the Internet version of Engineering Index. Abstracts come from engineering journals, conferences, and reports. All areas of engineering are covered and the database is updated weekly. This guide focuses on Compendex.
