HRAF is a large microfiche set which provides highly detailed information on specific cultures. In addition to the files themselves, there are two texts that assist the user in locating information within the set. There is one copy of each in the Social Sciences Reference Collection, at the MADD reference desk, and in the first floor stacks.
Outline of Cultural Materials (GN 354.3 .O95 1992) describes in detail the subject classification used to arrange the materials in each file.
Outline of World Cultures (GN 345.3 .M87 1983) describes how all the files within the set are numbered and arranged.
