EndNote Web
EndNote Web is a web-based reference management tool provided free to Auburn University students, faculty, and staff as part of Auburn University's subscription to Web of Science. References from most library databases (i.e., Academic Search Premier, JSTOR, ERIC, etc.) can be transferred into EndNote Web for storage and later used to write papers in Word. EndNote Web has many (but not all) of EndNote's features. Two major differences: a limit of 10,000 references; and incomplete control over how references appear in your paper (however, there are 2,300 output styles from which to choose). EndNote Web references can be transferred into EndNote if you later decide to buy the full version of EndNote.
Plan to spend an hour to learn how to use EndNote Web. The Overview Tutorial takes just eight minutes. To learn how to use EndNote Web, view the twelve online tutorials which range from one to five minutes (40 minutes total). Consult the

1.There is no direct way to insert a note in EndNote Web. A work-around solution is to create a "note" in the form of an EndNote Web reference. For example, list note 1 as the Author and place the actual note in the Secondary Title field (i.e., One of the reviewers proposed an alternative explanation.).
2. Insert the "note" reference into a Word document as if it were a reference. From the Tools menu select EndNote Web and then Find Citations.
3. Type in keyword(s) such as Note and click on Search to find EndNote Web "note" references.
4. Highlight the "note" reference. Click on the Insert button.
Other Useful Stuff to Know about EndNote Web
Search an EndNote library

Instead, make the changes to the citation in the reference in EndNote Web.
