Same thing basically, but geared toward small business. Gives contact information.

Lots of information and recommendations about starting a business. Excellent source of information!

Has lots of industries. Every industry under the sun. Has a recession update. People are eating at home more. Have all these sidebars on the left with statistics and what's happening. What's projected to happen in the industry. Shows you segmentation. All the different categories. Pretty easy to use.


S&P Industry Surveys
2nd Floor Reference Book. Call Number HG 4921 .S66
Look it up by the date it was published. Gives you an index of what is in each section. Pretty current. March 19 this year. What's going on with the recession. Very current. Has Graphs, charts. What people are spending on, restaurant market shares for pizza, etc. Talks about franchising. Fastest growing restaurant chains. Talks about competition. % of Americans eating out. Gives you a list of terms for the industry. Shows you how to analyze a restaurant.


County Business Patterns Free Government Resource
Find out at the county, metro or zip code level what types of industries are present in an area and how many are located there.


Business Source Premier Auburn Libraries' Resource
Find articles on anything related to restaurants.


National Restaurant Association Internet Resource/Some Free
Compilation site. Links to Restaurant Industry Forecast. 2009 has been ordered but not here yet. Have State by State industry info. Industry forecast and predictions. Every zip code in the US. Give details on those zip codes. Gives income, spending potential. How much people are able to spend. It is an indices. 100 is average. Over 100 means they are very likely to spend money on that area. Under 100 means they are less likely to spend money on that. What your clientele looks like.
