- Type in the author's name in the search box.
- Click on the radio button next to "Person- By or about".
- At the bottom of the search screen, make sure "Biographies" is the only box checked.
- Click "Search".

- Perry-Castañeda Library Map Collection An excellent collection of historical maps in .jpg format. Maps included in this collection cover all parts of the world during various time periods.
- David Rumsey Map Collection A thorough collection of historical maps with navigation features on the left side of the page that allow you to narrow the maps you are viewing by categories such as continent, country, and time period. The maps are interactive and you can zoom in and navigate.

- Mapping History is a cooperative effort among universities in Oregon and Germany.
- This resource will help you get a geographical and historical perspective for America, Europe (does cover some of Russia), Latin America, and Africa.
- Each region has a time line feature on the left side of the page so you can review information for just the time period you are researching.
- Interesting features:Interactive maps; maps that reflect how boundaries, territories, etc. change over time; brief introductions to topics within each geographical location.
- Intute World Guide is a cooperative effort among 7 universities in the United Kingdom.
- You can browse by country/region, or search for a specific geographic location if you are unsure of where it is located.
- Interesting features: Brief historical overviews; modern-day maps; descriptions of the topography; ability to search by geographic feature (e.g. Caucasus Mountains).
