[edit] Subject Specialists
For library help, please contact your library subject specialist. Your subject specialist can help you navigate the library and acquire materials through Interlibrary Loan. Don't hesitate to contact the librarian in your subject area by phone or e-mail for library assistance and help with research.
[edit] Databases
- Auburn students have access to many databases in a variety of subjects. For a complete listing, check Databases by Title. For a listing by subject, check Databases by Subject.
- Unless you are on the Auburn campus, you will be required to login to a database. You will need your User Name and Password, which are also used for your Tigermail account.
[edit] Checking your Library Record
- To renew materials and see what items you have checked out and any fines or fees you may have on your record, you will need to log into your library record.
- The best way to login is to use your Auburn username and password. Click the grey box in the upper left hand corner of the login screen to enter your username and password. You may also login using your barcode and last name. For assistance in constructing your barcode, see What is your Barcode?
- If you have problems logging in, contact the Auburn University Libraries Circulation Department.
[edit] Getting the Materials You Need
- Many of the materials that you will need are available electronically through our catalog or through a database. You can download these yourself.
- After you search AubieCat for journals, check the e-journal list. It's slightly more complete than AubieCat.
- To obtain a thesis or dissertation, see Locating Dissertations and Theses.
[edit] Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
- All of the other materials you will need will come through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
- The Libraries' ILL system is known as ILLiad. To use ILL, login to ILLiad using your username and password.
- You will register and provide contact information the first time you login. Under 'Status' on the User Information form, BE SURE you select Distance Ed.
- Need more information? See the Request Materials page.
