Global I.D. and Password Access to Databases

With the implementation of the Banner electronic administrative system on the Auburn University campus, off-campus access to the library databases listed under the Articles and Databases link no longer requires the use of the Library Barcode Number (based on one’s Social Security Number).  Instead, patrons should now use their Global I.D. and Password supplied by the Office of Information Technology.

Off-campus use of the majority of library databases continues to be restricted to currently enrolled students and currently employed Auburn University faculty and staff members; the only thing different is the log-in procedure.

NTIS Publications

This database provides bibliographic access to approximately 240,000 technical reports published between 1964 and 2000 by the National Technical Information Service (NTIS).  Reports for which electronic access is available will be available for free to library patrons while other reports will be available for purchase from the NTIS in print, microfiche, or CD/DVD format.

Because the NTIS Publications database is being made available only to libraries participating in the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) and because the Ralph Brown Draughon Library is a depository library, access to the database is restricted to Auburn University students, faculty, and staff.  Due to publisher restrictions, access to the database requires the assistance of a librarian using a password to log in.  See this link for more information.
