William Bartram Exhibit

Currently on display in the Special Collections and Archives Department in the Ralph Brown Draughon Library is the following exhibit:  “William Bartram:  Botanist, Artist, Explorer, Author.  April 7, 1739-July 22, 1823.”

The exhibit features numerous illustrations of southeastern plants and flowers, plus numerous books by and about Bartram, the flora of the southeast including Alabama, Indians of the southeast, numerous captions, and a chronology of Bartram’s life.

The exhibit is located in the three upright glass display cases in the north side (i.e., facing Samford Hall) of the Special Collections and Archives Department which is located on the Ground Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.
