To help meet the demand for study and computing space, the Ralph Brown Draughon Library is making available two recently remodeled Instruction Labs for evening and weekend use. The labs are normally in use for bibliographic instructions during weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. After 5 p.m., the instructional laptop computers are securely locked away into “garages” that fold into the counters and a sign indicating that the labs are open to students is put on display. Students may then bring in their own laptop computers (or check one out from the Circulation/Reserve Desk located on the First Floor), plug them in, and get to work.
The new wireless labs are located on the Second Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library: one lab is found immediately to one’s right upon entering the Mell Street entrance while the other lab is located in the middle of the Second Floor near the Atrium stairwell.
