On Thursday, September 24, at 3 PM, Dr. David Carter of Auburn University's Department of History will discuss his new book, The Music Has Gone Out of the Movement: Civil Rights and the Johnson Administration, 1965-1968, in Special Collections & Archives, located on the ground floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library. Copies of Dr. Carter's book will be available for purchase and signature by the author.

This event is sponsored by the Auburn University Libraries, the Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts, and the Auburn University Bookstore. All are welcome. A reception will follow Dr. Carter's presentation.

The air handling system problem in the Library of Architecture, Design, and Construction (LADC - Dudley Hall) has been fixed.  Consequently, the LADC has resumed normal hours of operation.  Please consult the Hours link located in the lower center part of the Auburn University Libraries homepage for more information.

Due to a loss of the air handling system and an accompanying odor, the Library of Architecture, Design, and Construction (LADC - Dudley Hall) will be closed the rest of the day Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11.  They hope to resume regular hours of operation on Sunday, September 13.

"Bollywood" refers to the Hindi language film industry based in Mumbai (formerly Bombay), India.  Bollywood produces the most films in India and enjoys great popularity.  Fourteen titles in DVD (digital video disc) format were recently added to the Auburn University Libraries collections and are located in the Media and Digital Resources Lab Collections on the First Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.  See this link for more information and film descriptions.
