An exhibit concerning the war in the Pacific theatre of World War II is currently on display in the Special Collections and Archives Department.  The exhibit features maps, photographs, books, and other documents with a focus on the service of the late Eugene B. Sledge (Class of 1949).  The exhibit also features Sledge's handwritten diary, correspondence to his family, photographs, and even his Marines uniform.  The Eugene B. Sledge Papers are located in the Special Collections and Archives Department.  Some of this collection is also available via the Digital Collections .

The exhibit is located in the three upright glass display cases on the north side (i.e., facing Samford Hall) of the Special Collections and Archives Department.  The Department is located on the Ground Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.
