The Current Research Information System (CRIS) is a  database containing reports of current, ongoing, and recently completed federal and state supported research projects in the fields of agriculture, food and nutrition, and forestry.  This database is produced by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).  The projects are conducted by USDA research agencies, state agricultural experiment stations, the state land-grand university system, other cooperating state institutions, and participants in a number of USDA-sponsored research grant programs.

Updated monthly, CRIS contains over 30,000 project descriptions showing the project investigator(s); institution; problem statement of the research project; the aims and objectives; approach and methodology; results and progress; and publications reporting these or related findings.
