Charles Coleman Thach (1860-1921)

President, Alabama Polytechnic Institute (1902-1920)

In 1877 Thach graduated from the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama, where in 1885 he became Professor of English. 

In 1902 Thach was elected president of the Alabama Polytechnic Institute, a position which he held until 1920.
