Historical or Biographical Sketch:
Ralph Rogers Harris was a native of Winfield, Marion County, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Science from Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) in 1951. He acquired his Master of Science degree in Animal Nutrition from A.P.I. in the summer of 1952. In 1955, he was hired as Assistant Animal Husbandman by the Agricultural Experiment Station of A.P.I. He was promoted to Assistant Animal Nutritionist in 1961 and to Associate Professor in the Animal & Dairy Science Department in 1963. He attained his Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition from Texas A&M in 1974 and was promoted to full professor later the same year. In 1993, Dr. Harris retired from Auburn University after serving as head of the department for several years.

Scope and Content:
Consists of class registers, records and brief biographies of students that attended Professor Ralph R. Harris' Animal & Dairy Science Class and labs from 1974 to 1992. Papers include quizzes, tests, and related assignments.
