About

The Library of Architecture, Design and Construction (LADC), a branch of Auburn University Libraries, supports the research and teaching needs of the College of Architecture, Design and Construction (CADC). The library is also a resource for professionals in related fields and for the community.

The library houses a collection of over 45,000 volumes focused on architecture, building science, community planning, environmental design, graphic design, industrial design, interiors architecture, and landscape architecture disciplines; and subscribes to over 100 domestic and foreign periodicals.

Services provided include research assistance, extended weeknight hours, specialized technology, use of equipment, and circulation of materials.

Kasia oversees administration of the LADC’s policies, services, and staff. She provides specialized research assistance, instruction, collection development, tours/orientation, and outreach for students and faculty in all the College of Architecture, Design and Construction's programs.

 

Technical Specialist I/II

Manages undergraduate student supervision (hiring, training, supervising), designs displays and signage, manages the LADC's user technology area and helps to coordinate and provide services at the help desk.


Emily Johannes, Technical Services Specialist II

Emily manages course reserve materials, handles fines and fees, manages the print journals, responds to Interlibrary Loan, AUBIExpress, and Courier requests, supervises inventory, handles missing and lost book problems, supervises stacks maintenance, and processes and catalogs building material samples for the Materials Lab.
