The Library of Architecture, Design and Construction (LADC) supports the academic and professional needs of Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction. As a specialized branch of Auburn University Libraries, LADC provides focused resources, expert assistance, and tailored services across a wide range of design-related disciplines.
Collections
LADC houses a curated collection of over 45,000 volumes spanning architecture, building science, environmental design, community planning, graphic design, industrial design, interior architecture, and landscape architecture. The collection supports both coursework and advanced research across these disciplines.
Periodicals
The library provides access to over 100 domestic and international periodicals, ensuring users stay informed about current research, design innovations, and industry developments.
Research Support
LADC offers personalized research assistance to help users effectively locate, evaluate, and utilize library resources. Librarians work closely with students, faculty, and researchers to support academic success and scholarly inquiry.
Specialized Resources and Technology
The library is equipped with discipline-specific technologies and tools, including access to design software, subject-relevant databases, high-resolution scanning and printing, and other specialized equipment to support academic and professional projects.
Circulation Services
Library materials are available for checkout in accordance with Auburn University Libraries’ policies. Borrowable items may include books, periodicals, multimedia, and selected equipment, depending on availability.
Community Engagement
LADC serves not only the university community but also professionals and members of the public engaged in design-related fields. By fostering connections between academia and practice, the library contributes to ongoing professional development and regional engagement.

Amy oversees administration of the LADC’s policies, services, and staff. Provides specialized research assistance, information literacy instruction, collection development, tours/orientation, and outreach for students and faculty in all the College of Architecture, Design and Construction's programs.

Library Technical Specialist 1, Student Supervisor at the LADC
The student supervisor at the LADC oversees student employees, providing customer service, assisting with library resources, enforcing library policies, and maintaining the organization of library materials. They may also participate in training sessions for new student workers and collaborate with library staff to develop and assist with implementing library programs or events. Overall, they play a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of the library and creating a welcoming environment for all users.
