Dr. Kelly D. Jolley, Department of Philosophy, has donated nine rare books to the Auburn University Libraries in memory of Dr. James Haden, whom Jolley studied with as an undergraduate at the College of Wooster.

The titles include a 1633 edition of Galileo's Sidereus Nuncius, or Starry Messenger; a 1758 edition of History of Insects by the seventeenth-century Dutch scientist Jan Swammerdam, and works by others including Rousseau and Descartes.

The display is located in the flat glass exhibit case next to the door to the Alabama Room in the Special Collections and Archives Department located on the Ground Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.
