The FirstGov database has been replaced by the USA.Gov database.  In 2000 the federal government created FirstGov to serve as the centralized portal for providing electronic access to government information.  Deciding that a name change was due, the federal government has changed the name of this portal to USA.Gov.  The renamed database continues to provide online access to resources such as the Government Printing Office including:  The Federal Register; Congressional Records Service; and Legislative Service.
