Formerly known as Digital Dissertations, and before that when a print publication as Dissertation Abstracts International, Dissertations and Theses provides citations to materials ranging from the first American dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester.  Those published from 1980 onward also include 350-word abstracts, written by the author.  Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150-word abstracts.  Over 100,000 titles are available full-text (for a fee).
