An exhibit on Eugene Walter (1921-1998), a screenwriter and poet born in Mobile and famous for living a bohemian lifestyle, is on display in the three upright glass cases located on the north side (facing Samford Hall) of the Special Collections and Archives Department.   The exhibit features photographs, books published by Walter,  correspondence, and even a typewriter.  The department is located on the Ground Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.
